Deputies charged a woman in Lyons after she allegedly ignored a red light, refused to cooperate during a stop, and resisted arrest.
Alisha Abbott, 37, was pulled over around 9:42 a.m. Thursday on Forgham Street, according to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies say Abbott ran a steady red signal while heading east, then exited her vehicle and would not comply with commands.
She was arrested for obstruction of governmental administration and resisting arrest. Investigators say she was also driving without a license and had a revoked non-driver ID.
Abbott was processed at the Wayne County Jail, issued multiple traffic tickets, and released with an appearance ticket. She’s expected to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
