The Village of Sodus Point Board of Trustees is set to meet Thursday night with a packed agenda that includes infrastructure updates, event planning, and new technology proposals.
The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. at Village Hall on Bay Street. A Zoom link will be posted on the village website the day of the meeting for those who want to attend remotely.
What’s on the agenda?
Trustees will hear updates from village officials before opening the floor to public comments — limited to agenda items and upcoming events — for up to 15 minutes.
The board will then review progress on the Willow Park and Hots Point parking lot and drainage project, including the approval of submitted quotes.
Next, members will discuss the dedication of public property and outline the next steps in the State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) process. That discussion will include planning a public hearing.
New business items include:
- Reviewing outstanding water bills
- Planning the upcoming Jeff Webster Memorial Parade
- Discussing a grant opportunity for the Fire Department
- Considering the addition of microphones in the board room
- Exploring the hiring of a ground-penetrating leak detection service
- Reviewing new census software that could allow for automated meter readings
The meeting is expected to wrap up with the approval of bill payments and other routine items. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for November 20.
