Syracuse football will try to get back on track Saturday when it visits SMU at Gerald J. Ford Stadium in University Park, Texas. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on the ACC Network.
The Orange (3-2, 1-1 ACC) enters the matchup in the midst of a demanding stretch, facing a College Football Playoff team for the second time in three weeks. Last Saturday, Syracuse had its two-game win streak snapped with a 38-3 loss at Duke in Rickie Collins’ debut. Meanwhile, the Mustangs (2-2) are also coming off a loss, falling 35-24 to TCU.
The marks just the second meeting between the schools, with SMU winning the first back in 1932 at Archbold Stadium.
Fran Brown’s group has responded well to adversity, winning four straight games following losses since last season.
