A Penn Yan man has been arrested following an investigation into a July burglary at a village residence.
Police say 30-year-old Gerald H.E. Schultz broke into a home on July 27 and stole items from inside. Some of the stolen property was later found discarded at another location in the village.
Schultz was charged with second-degree burglary, petit larceny, and second-degree criminal trespass. He was taken to the Yates County Jail to await centralized arraignment.
The arrest was made on September 2 by Penn Yan Police.
