A 31-year-old Waterloo woman is facing charges after deputies say a toddler was found running alone in the middle of a road near a busy highway.
On September 20, around 4:37 p.m., Seneca County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested Monica J. White in the Town of Waterloo. She was charged with endangering the welfare of a child, according to a release from Sheriff Tim Thompson.
A concerned passerby spotted the 2-year-old child running down Millard Road toward State Route 96 and stayed with the child until deputies and EMS arrived. The child was not hurt, officials said.
White was taken to the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center, where she was processed and released on an appearance ticket. She’s scheduled to appear in Town of Waterloo Court at a later date.
