Ontario woman tased, arrested after domestic dispute

Deputies used a taser to detain a woman early Saturday morning after responding to a domestic disturbance at a home in Ontario.

According to the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, 36-year-old Terri L. Bove was arrested just after 1 a.m. on Sept. 20 following a physical altercation at a residence on Ontario Center Road.

During the investigation, Bove allegedly refused to follow deputies’ commands and resisted arrest. A taser was deployed after she continued to struggle while being handcuffed. She was eventually secured and taken to the Sheriff’s Office for processing.

Deputies say Bove is facing multiple charges, including:

  • Criminal mischief (felony) for damaging a computer
  • Assault (misdemeanor) for injuring a male victim
  • Criminal contempt (felony) for violating an active order of protection
  • Obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest — both misdemeanors

Bove was booked at the Wayne County Jail and is awaiting arraignment. She is scheduled to return to Ontario Town Court at a later date.
