Canandaigua officials may finally move forward on upgrades at two aging parks, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.
City Council is set to vote on spending $5,500 to seek grant funding for improvements at Sonnenberg and Baker Memorial parks. Sonnenberg’s main building needs a full rebuild, while Baker Park’s outdated playground—now over 15 years old—would be replaced with more inclusive equipment.
Meanwhile, Jefferson Park just wrapped up a major renovation and will host a community celebration on Sept. 26 to unveil its revamped recreation building.
