A Farmington woman is facing felony charges after investigators say she lied on public assistance forms and illegally received more than $6,000 in housing subsidies.
Delilah R. Rivadeneira, 35, was arrested at the Ontario County Jail and charged with grand larceny in the third degree and offering a false instrument for filing in the first degree, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators say Rivadeneira allowed an unauthorized person to live with her in her subsidized housing unit on Hathaway Drive, which led to an overpayment of $6,074 from the Geneva Housing Authority between May and September.
She’s also accused of failing to report the full composition of her household and not disclosing ownership of a 2025 vehicle on her SNAP assistance re-certification form filed with the Ontario County Department of Social Services on August 5.
Rivadeneira was arraigned at the county’s CAP court and released pending her next court date, which is scheduled for September 23 at 5:00 p.m. in Hopewell Town Court.
