The Seneca County Sheriff’s Office is inviting residents to a free informational session this fall focused on recent changes to New York’s gun laws.
Sheriff Timothy J. Thompson, Jr. will host the Gun Law Update Informational Session on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Seneca County Law Enforcement Center in Romulus.
The event will cover a range of topics including:
- Recent gun law updates
- The pistol permit process
- Best practices for legally armed individuals during police encounters
- Updated hunting regulations
- A Q&A with local firearms dealers
The session is open to all Seneca County residents age 18 and older. Minors may attend if accompanied by a parent or guardian. Space is limited, and registration is required. To sign up, email [email protected] or call (315) 220-3403.
“We look forward to connecting with the community while providing this critically important information,” said Sheriff Thompson. “We recognize that it can be difficult to keep up with the law changes and hope this event will prove helpful.”
The Seneca County Law Enforcement Center is located at 6150 Route 96, Romulus. Attendees should use the visitor parking lot and enter through the main lobby.
