The Vacant Rental Program provides grant funding to property owners to repair vacant units and bring them up to code.

Officials said the program aims to increase the number of affordable rental units available across the county.

The Land Bank was one of 11 organizations selected to receive funding through the state program.

Applications are reviewed monthly, and funding is available on a rolling basis. Property owners whose projects are approved will work with the Land Bank to plan and complete rehabilitation.

The Land Bank will host informational sessions for property owners and contractors on April 9 and April 13 at 6 p.m. in Mount Morris. Attendance is required to apply for the program.
