A man was arrested after deputies investigated a disturbance involving a knife at a Sodus grocery store.
Gregory C. Faniel, 53, was taken into custody Sept. 17 after a reported incident at Patton’s Market Place earlier this summer. Investigators say Faniel stole from the store in August, then returned and injured an employee while threatening people with a knife.
Deputies charged him with petit larceny, second-degree menacing, second-degree assault, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
After his arrest, Faniel was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office and taken to jail. He was scheduled to appear in CAP Court the following morning.
