Trent Grisham’s two-homer game propels Yankees to series win over Twins (highlights)

Trent Grisham hit two home runs and drove in four runs to lead the New York Yankees to a 10-5 win over the Minnesota Twins on Wednesday night, securing a series victory.

Grisham’s second-inning solo homer tied the game, and he later added a three-run shot in the fourth, his 33rd home run of the season. Cody Bellinger hit his 29th long ball and had three RBI. Jasson Domínguez contributed a run-scoring double, and Ryan McMahon chipped in a run-scoring single.

Starter Luis Gil, making his first appearance since a no-hit effort against the Boston Red Sox, struggled with command. He allowed five runs (four earned) on nine hits and two walks across 4.2 innings, striking out just two. The Twins broke through with three runs in the fifth before Fernando Cruz came on to strand the bases loaded. New York’s bullpen then locked it down, combining for 4.1 scoreless innings behind Cruz, Devin Williams, Luke Weaver, and Camilo Doval.
