Seven years after Auburn won a $10 million downtown grant, only two revitalization projects remain, according to The Citizen.
Work is underway at Willard Memorial Chapel, where lighting upgrades have already boosted event bookings. The next phase includes added parking and an accessible sidewalk. The other project — a mixed-use rehab of 22 E. Genesee St. — is also in progress.
Ten of the original 12 projects are complete, with one canceled and funds redirected to arts development.
