On Friday evening at around 6:40 pm the Schuyler County Sheriff’s responded to State Route 227, in Burdett for a report of a tractor accident. Preliminary investigation revealed that the operator of the tractor was towing an overweight trailer and lost control rounding a curve, rolled over and was ejected from the tractor.
The operator of the tractor was taken by helicopter to Robert Packer Hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office will provide updates pending notification of family members.
The New York State Police, Burdett Fire & Rescue and Centralus Health Ambulance assisted at the scene.
