Thompson Health has welcomed a new face to its Honeoye Family Practice: Dr. Matthew Brooks, D.O.
Brooks brings a unique background to the Finger Lakes. Before becoming a physician, he earned degrees in fine arts and worked as a professional actor in community and regional theaters nationwide.
He later shifted gears, earning his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the Arizona College of Osteopathic Medicine–Midwestern University. He completed his residency in family medicine at St. Anthony Family Medicine in Oklahoma City.
Brooks most recently practiced in North Carolina, where he served as medical director at ECU Health in Jacksonville and worked with CarolinaEast Physicians in Morehead City. He also has clinical experience in Missouri and Oklahoma.
Now board certified by the American College of Osteopathic Family Physicians, Brooks joins Dr. Michael Foote and Family Nurse Practitioner Kimberly Schunk at the Honeoye Family Practice.
