The holiday season in Skaneateles kicks off Nov. 28 with the return of a beloved tradition: Dickens Christmas.
Now in its 32nd year, the festival opens at noon with the “World’s Smallest Christmas Parade,” as Charles Dickens and friends make their way through the village. The costumed crew will stroll from Fennell Street to the Hannum House on Genesee Street, marking the start of four weekends of Victorian-era cheer.
Running every Saturday and Sunday through Dec. 21, from noon to 4 p.m., the festival features trunk shows, sing-alongs, live music, and classic characters including Queen Victoria, Scrooge, and Father Christmas. A shortened version will take place on Christmas Eve from noon to 2:30 p.m.
The event is produced by Scarlett Rat Entertainment and presented by the Skaneateles Area Chamber of Commerce Foundation.
