A major update to Seneca County’s economic strategy is on the table—and leaders are looking for the right team to take it on.
The Seneca County Local Development Corporation (SCLDC) just issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to revise the county’s full economic development plan. The goal: Build a sharper, more focused roadmap for growth, investment, and job creation.
“This plan will help us focus those assets into new opportunities for growth and investment,” said SCLDC Chair Heather Robson. She pointed to the county’s strengths in agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, and workforce development as key areas the update will build on.
The chosen firm will be expected to analyze local data, work with community stakeholders, and craft a five-year implementation strategy. The RFP outlines specific expectations, including:
- Hosting stakeholder engagement sessions
- Conducting economic and workforce analysis
- Proposing clear, measurable strategies
- Creating a five-year framework for action
Key dates for the process include:
- Questions due: September 26
- Answers posted: September 30
- Proposal deadline: October 10
