Got a great photo—or artwork—of your favorite tree? The state wants to see it.
New York’s Department of Environmental Conservation is now accepting entries for its annual Arbor Day Poster Contest. This year’s theme is “Trees for the Future,” and the winning image will be featured on the 2026 state poster.
Artists and photographers of all ages are invited to submit original work that shows the beauty and importance of trees. Entries should reflect how trees connect people, help the climate, and benefit future generations.
Submissions are due by November 30, 2025, and must feature trees growing in New York State. Each person can submit one entry. Winners will be showcased at schools, libraries, the State Fair, and more.
