Fleming man arrested after domestic incident involving damaged phone

A Cayuga County man was arrested late last week after deputies say he intentionally damaged someone’s phone during a domestic dispute in the Town of Fleming.

Corey R. Foster, 46, was taken into custody just before midnight on August 27, according to the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were called to the scene around 9:19 p.m. for a report of a physical domestic incident. During the investigation, they determined Foster had gotten into an argument and damaged the victim’s cell phone on purpose.

He was later found at a home in the Town of Springport, where deputies arrested him. Foster was processed at the Public Safety Building, then taken to jail for arraignment the next morning.

He’s charged with criminal mischief in the fourth degree, a misdemeanor, and is due back in Fleming Town Court at a later date.
