Auburn Community Hospital has spent $3.2 million on nearby properties to ease parking issues and support its $50 million expansion, according to The Citizen.
Six properties were purchased since late 2023, including sites on North Street and Park Avenue. One will become an 80-space employee lot, freeing up parking for patients. Others now house relocated departments like gastroenterology and outpatient labs.
Long-term plans include a new emergency department, orthopedic and wellness centers, and expanded mental health care.
