Rescue crews pull injured hiker from Cortland gorge

Emergency crews rushed to Hoxie Gorge Trail in Virgil after a hiker fell about a quarter mile in, according to WBNG. Using phone tracking, rescuers located the hiker and used ATVs to carry them out.


The Cortlandville and Virgil fire departments led the effort, with help from state police and environmental officials. The hiker was hospitalized.

No word yet on their condition.
