A man is dead after a pickup truck slammed into a tree Friday evening in the Town of Williamson.
Deputies say the crash happened around 6:21 p.m. on August 22, when a 2017 Chevrolet pickup went off Lake Avenue, about a half-mile north of Route 104, and struck a tree in a front yard. The driver, an adult male, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office is still investigating the cause of the crash. Officials say immediate family members have been notified.
No other details have been released.
