Sewer flushing begins Aug. 25 in Seneca Falls

The Town of Seneca Falls will begin routine sanitary sewer flushing on Monday, Aug. 25, as part of its regular maintenance schedule.

Work will take place between 7 a.m. and 2 p.m., starting in the Anthony Drive area and continuing on the south side of the canal through mid-September.

Residents and businesses may notice gurgling drains, sewer odors, or temporarily discolored water during this time. Officials recommend keeping toilet lids closed, limiting water use during flushing hours, and running cold water if discoloration occurs.

Anyone with questions can contact the Water/Sewer Department at (315) 568-6211 during business hours.
