Stacy and Chris Wyant honored with 2025 Stork Award

Keuka College recognized Stacy and Chris Wyant of Penn Yan with its 2025 Donald and Corinne Stork Award for Community Service during a celebration on campus this week.

More than 100 people gathered Tuesday at the College’s Geiser Dining Commons to honor the couple’s decades of quiet but impactful volunteer work.

“Chris and Stacy embody the spirit of this award,” said Finger Lakes Economic Development Center CEO Steve Griffin, who presented the honor alongside College President Amy Storey. The Wyants have long been involved in efforts like food drives, scholarships for young women, and the Penn Yan Rotary Club’s foreign exchange program.

The couple also supports their Bluff Point church and are known for small acts of kindness—like delivering meals or clearing neighbors’ driveways. “Community service doesn’t always come with a spotlight,” Griffin said. “More often, it comes with a shovel.”

A New York State Legislature proclamation was also presented, recognizing their contributions as an example of community spirit at its best.

“You are the role models,” President Storey told the crowd. “You are what we try to teach our students to be.”
