Emergency crews responded to a structure fire at a multi-dwelling apartment complex in the Village of Bath early Sunday morning, with all occupants safely evacuated thanks to a swift response from law enforcement and fire crews.
According to the Bath Police Department, the fire was reported around 4:20 a.m. on August 11 at 220 Liberty Street. Officers from the Bath Police Department and Steuben County Sheriff’s Office were first on the scene and successfully evacuated residents from the building.
The Bath Fire Department, assisted by multiple mutual aid fire departments, quickly arrived and extinguished the fire.
No injuries were reported.
Cause under investigation
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Authorities have not yet released any details about what may have sparked the blaze.
