All seven candidates for Geneva City Council took the stage last week to share their goals and priorities, even though only two of the five open seats are contested, according to the Finger Lakes Times.
Mayoral front-runner Jim Cecere highlighted housing as a crisis and called for more homeownership programs. Other candidates echoed concerns about affordability and the need for zoning updates. The aging Rec Complex also sparked debate, with most agreeing on the need for upgrades and stronger partnerships, though funding remains a concern.
The forum gave voters a clearer view of each candidate’s vision for Geneva’s future.
