At its August 6 meeting, the Geneva City Council was set to receive updates on the 2026 budget process, e-bike safety, and housing legislation, while also discussing a shift to zero-based budgeting. Council also planned to review multiple ordinances and resolutions, including water and sewer fees, sump pump regulations, and a proposed $900,000 levy reduction fund.
Additional agenda items included a second reading of an ordinance on aggressive panhandling, a SEQR designation for recreation improvements, and a resolution on short-term rental enforcement. The meeting was also expected to feature updates on city staffing, infrastructure projects, and the controversial Lakeview housing proposal.
