Waterloo’s Cookie Fun Run and Bookish 5K return August 16 with a new twist—this year’s theme is “The Year of the Brownie,” according to the Finger Lakes Times.
The thriller-themed Bookish 5K starts at 8 a.m., followed by the 1-mile Cookie Fun Run at 9:30 a.m., where participants enjoy brownies along the route. Both events start at the Waterloo Library and wind through village streets.
Entry is $35 for the 5K and $15 for the Fun Run, with medals, T-shirts, and books offered to early registrants. Kids under 5 participate free. Register online to secure a spot.
