Brighton man arrested after Palmyra burglary

Deputies arrested a Brighton man following a reported burglary and disturbance at a residence on Tellier Road in the Town of Palmyra.

Tyrek T. Collins, 26, fled the scene but was located after a search by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office. He now faces multiple charges, including second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal contempt, and second-degree harassment.

Deputy Scribner, the investigating officer, reported the incident occurred at 4917 Tellier Road and was logged at 2:22 a.m. Collins was processed at the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office before being transported to the Wayne County Jail. He was scheduled to appear in CAP Court later that evening at 7:00 p.m.

The sheriff’s office has not released additional details about the nature of the disturbance or Collins’ relationship to the residence.
