A 53-year-old Lyons resident was arrested after allegedly painting an unauthorized advertisement on a building owned by the Wayne County Land Bank.
Deputies with the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office arrested Merle E. Adams Jr. on July 26 following an investigation into criminal mischief at 46 Canal Street in Lyons.
Authorities say Adams painted on the east side of the building without obtaining permission. He was charged with making graffiti and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
Adams was transported to the Wayne County Jail for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Lyons Town Court at a later date.
