Fillmore driver killed in late-night crash

A 68-year-old Fillmore man died in a single-vehicle crash on July 26 in Allegany County, according to the Hornell Evening Tribune. The accident occurred around 10:55 p.m. on County Route 15 in the Town of Granger.


State Police identified the victim as Robin L. Beardsley, who was pronounced dead at the scene by the county coroner. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation. A memorial gathering will be held August 1 at the Short Tract Fire Hall.
