Guns, fentanyl, and cannabis seized in Binghamton stop

A traffic stop in Binghamton uncovered loaded guns, drugs, and stolen property, according to WBNG. Officers pulled over a vehicle on Route 363 near the I-81 ramp and found two loaded 9mm handguns—one reported stolen—along with high-capacity magazines, cannabis, and fentanyl.

Police arrested 23-year-old Devire Hardy of Georgia and 24-year-old Justin Gumear of Binghamton. Both face multiple weapons charges, along with drug-related offenses and possession of stolen property in Hardy’s case.

The bust was part of a joint effort by the Broome County Special Investigations Unit, which includes local and county law enforcement agencies working to combat serious street crime.
