A man was taken into custody in Lyons after deputies uncovered illegal drugs during an investigation by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office.
Shannon D. Jones, 48, of Redman Road in the town of Williamson, was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the fifth and seventh degrees, officials said.
Deputy Cody led the investigation, which took place at an earlier, unspecified date and time in the town of Lyons. Authorities released details in a statement issued just after midnight on July 21.
Jones was booked at the Wayne County Jail and is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
