New York State Police are investigating the death of a 9-year-old Canadian girl whose body was found in Ticonderoga, according to Spectrum News.
Melina Galanis Frattolin was reported missing Saturday night by her father, who claimed she may have been abducted near I-87 in Lake George. But after authorities uncovered inconsistencies in his story, they determined no abduction had occurred.
Her death remains under investigation, with no current threat to the public. The case prompted a multi-agency response before the tragic discovery was made.
