Seneca Falls kicks off seasonal cleanup today

Seneca Falls residents are reminded that today marks the first of three scheduled spring and fall cleanup days organized by the town.

The cleanup allows each household one truckload of yard debris to be picked up curbside. Town crews will make only one pass per street, and no return trips will be made. Additional collection dates are set for September 15 and November 17.

Residents must place debris by the roadside the night before collection. Leaves must be in paper bags; plastic bags or loose piles will not be accepted. Branches must be no longer than 4 feet in length and 12 inches in diameter, and must be placed parallel to the road.

Officials encourage residents to follow the guidelines carefully to ensure efficient pickup throughout the town.
