State health officials are alerting the public to potential measles exposure at Albany Medical Center and Saratoga Hospital, according to Spectrum News. A Vermont resident with a confirmed measles case visited both facilities after recently traveling abroad.

The risk of infection is considered low, but the Department of Health urges anyone who was in Saratoga Hospital’s emergency department on July 14 to contact the hospital. Those at Albany Medical Center on July 16 have already been notified.

Officials stress the importance of vigilance, especially for those who may not be fully vaccinated or have weakened immune systems.
