A Canandaigua man has been arrested following a major drug investigation that led to the discovery of cocaine and large amounts of cash inside his home.
David L. Bellis, 70, was taken into custody on July 15 by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Special Investigations Division. He was charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree with intent to sell.
The arrest came after a long-term investigation by the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, with assistance from the Canandaigua Police Department. Authorities executed a search warrant at Bellis’ residence on State Route 64 in the Town of Bristol, where they reportedly seized the illegal substances and cash.
Bellis was transported to the Ontario County Jail for arraignment and later released. He is scheduled to appear in Bristol Town Court at a later date.
