Timothy Buckley has been appointed assistant principal at Newark High School, according to the Finger Lakes Times. He begins the role August 4, joining Principal Kelly Zielke and Assistant Principal Emily Schmitt.
Buckley brings 17 years of music teaching experience from Monticello and has recently led the Marion/Williamson K-8 Summer School Program. He replaces Joe Canori, who departed in June. Buckley grew up in Macedon and previously substitute taught in the Newark district.
School officials praised Buckley’s administrative potential and his creative approach to education, particularly in the arts. He and his family plan to relocate to the Newark community in the coming weeks.
