Structure fire under investigation in Ontario County

Multiple fire departments responded to a large structure fire early Sunday on Seneca Castle Road, according to the Seneca Castle Fire Company.

The fire broke out in the morning hours, sending thick smoke and flames through a home, as seen in images shared by the department. Firefighters from across Ontario County were called in to help battle the blaze, which is now under investigation by the Ontario County Fire Coordinators Office.

Mutual aid came from Hopewell Fire, Stanley Fire, and Finger Lakes Ambulance during the initial response. A second alarm brought in additional support from Clifton Springs, Geneva, White Springs, Gorham, Hall, Phelps, and Northside fire departments.

Oaks Corners provided rehab for crews working at the scene. Fire officials also thanked community members Amy and Henry for delivering donuts to responders.

No injuries were reported, and further details on the extent of the damage or cause of the fire have not been released.
