The Village of Dundee has submitted an application to the state Department of Environmental Conservation for a new surface discharge permit for its upgraded wastewater treatment plant, according to the Finger Lakes Times. The request includes removing prior infrastructure oversight requirements due to completed improvements.
A draft permit has been issued and is open for public comment until August 1. The DEC has tentatively approved the changes but may hold a hearing if requested. The facility is located on Dundee-Glenora Road in the Town of Starkey.
Documents are available online or at the DEC’s Region 8 office in Avon by appointment.
