A 27-year-old man was taken into custody early Friday morning on an active warrant related to child endangerment in Yates County.
According to the Yates County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrested Max E. Barron around 2:22 a.m. on July 11 after Schuyler County deputies located him and notified authorities. The transfer took place near the Schuyler/Yates County line on State Route 14.
Barron was wanted on an arrest warrant issued out of the Town of Benton for the charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Following the transfer, he was transported to the Yates County Jail and held for centralized arraignment.
The Yates County Sheriff’s Office listed the incident under complaint number 2025-01560.
