A driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated after crashing into a mailbox and culvert in Brutus just before midnight.
Shannon R. Crader, 41, of Marcellus, was arrested by the Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office shortly after deputies responded to a crash on East Brutus Street Road around 11:58 PM on June 28.
Authorities said Crader’s vehicle had been heading east when it left the roadway, striking roadside fixtures. Crader, the sole occupant, was found to be intoxicated and arrested for DWI–First Offense and Aggravated DWI–Per Se.
She was processed at the Public Safety Building and released on tickets returnable to the Town of Brutus Court on July 8 at 7 PM.
