A popular farm in Watkins Glen is gearing up for its annual Hoedown Weekend, offering a mix of animal encounters and plant-based food, according to WETM.
Farm Sanctuary will welcome about 200 attendees from August 2–3 to its 400-acre property, home to rescued cows, pigs, goats, and more. The event features vegan cooking demos, advocacy talks, and a keynote from Impossible Foods founder Pat Brown.
Organizers say the weekend promotes compassionate living and sustainable alternatives to factory farming. Attendees will hear from experts addressing food system reforms and environmental challenges tied to industrial agriculture.
