Emergency crews responded to a two-car crash on State Route 89 in Seneca Falls Thursday evening, but fortunately, no serious injuries were reported.
The Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, along with the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department and North Seneca Ambulance, were dispatched around 6:00 p.m. to the area in front of Cayuga Lake State Park for a reported T-bone collision.
Assistant Chief Archer (1465) was first on scene, quickly followed by additional fire personnel and officers from the Seneca Falls Police Department and State Park Police. Upon arrival, responders found both vehicles off to the side of the road. The vehicles were later moved under their own power to the park’s parking lot, allowing Route 89 traffic to resume without major delays.
District Chief Farnsworth (1461) confirmed that no occupants required emergency medical services and relayed the update to North Seneca Ambulance. Fire crews from Engine 1 and Rescue 52 were initially dispatched but were returned to quarters shortly after arrival.
All fire units cleared the scene by 6:15 p.m.
