Robinhood’s $HOOD stock hits ATH as tokenized trading and staking expand

Robinhood (NASDAQ: HOOD) stock surged 11.25% to an all-time high as the trading platform unveiled a suite of crypto-integrated features that signal a major pivot toward decentralized finance. With year-to-date gains approaching 150%, HOOD is emerging as one of the most closely watched blockchain-linked equities in 2025.

Tokenized Stocks Expand to Europe

At the “To Catch A Token” conference in Cannes, Robinhood launched tokenized U.S. stocks for European customers through its partnership with Arbitrum, an Ethereum-based Layer-2 protocol. The update enables EU users to buy digital shares of major U.S. companies like Apple, Amazon, and Nvidia. These tokens also include dividend rights and zero commission trading—features previously reserved for U.S. accounts.

Robinhood aims to remove the friction from cross-border stock investing by tokenizing real-world assets. The EU rollout marks a significant leap toward democratizing global access to U.S. equities.

Robinhood Chain Aims to Reinvent Market Infrastructure

The company announced its own blockchain project—Robinhood Chain—optimized for tokenized real-world assets. Built on Arbitrum, the new chain will support 24/7 trading, self-custody, and asset portability, with plans to eventually include real estate, art, and private equity.

This move positions Robinhood as a serious player in blockchain infrastructure, not just crypto trading. Executives teased a three-phase roadmap, culminating in the ability for users to self-custody stock tokens and engage in DeFi protocols.

Staking, Futures, and Crypto Tools Bolster User Engagement

Robinhood also launched Ethereum and Solana staking for U.S. users—features already available in the EU. Staking is offered with competitive APYs, alongside a 2% deposit bonus running through July 7. The company also introduced perpetual futures with up to 3x leverage for European traders, backed by Bitstamp’s infrastructure.

Robinhood’s advanced trading features now include mobile-native charts, dynamic stop-loss controls, and smart routing for best execution. For active traders, these tools mark a significant upgrade in usability and pricing efficiency.

Crypto Revenue Doubles as Analysts Raise Targets

Robinhood’s Q2 crypto revenue reached $252 million, a 100% increase year-over-year. Analyst Ed Engel of Compass Point raised the HOOD stock price target to $96, citing the integration of crypto services, tokenized equities, and staking as growth catalysts.

Macro strategist Raoul Pal called Robinhood’s moves “the democratization of finance,” highlighting the convergence of private and public markets via blockchain rails.

Airdrops and Private Equity Access Showcase Vision

As part of its expansion, Robinhood airdropped tokenized shares of SpaceX and OpenAI to EU users—a world-first for private equity tokenization. The company’s long-term vision includes unlocking exposure to companies that traditionally remain inaccessible to everyday investors.

CEO Vlad Tenev emphasized that Robinhood is “rebuilding from the ground up entirely on crypto,” laying the foundation for a borderless, tokenized financial system.

What’s Next for Robinhood and $HOOD?

With crypto features expanding across 31 countries and a proprietary blockchain in the works, Robinhood is positioning itself for global dominance in hybrid finance. The upcoming Hood Summit in September is expected to reveal more developments as Robinhood pushes further into DeFi and real-world asset tokenization.

Investors are watching closely as HOOD stock reflects these bold moves into financial reinvention. The fusion of equities, blockchain, and user-first interfaces may define the next generation of investing.
