After weeks of high water and storm debris, boating advisories for Seneca, Cayuta, Waneta, and Lamoka lakes have been lifted. The Schuyler County Sheriff’s Office says lake levels are back to normal, allowing safe boating to resume.
Some debris may still linger in less-trafficked or shallow areas, so boaters are urged to stay cautious—especially over the July 4 weekend. Tubers, skiers, and wakeboarders should watch for hidden obstacles.
Officials will continue monitoring lake conditions throughout the summer and provide updates as needed.
