A two-vehicle crash at a busy Ontario County intersection sent both drivers to the hospital Thursday morning.

Victoria Lynn Trimble, 54, of Webster, failed to stop at a posted sign while traveling southbound on Kyte Road. Her 2024 Ford Edge struck a 2014 Subaru Forester driven by 42-year-old Lauren Michelle Guerrera of Shortsville, who was heading westbound on State Route 96.

Deputies from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office and Finger Lakes Ambulance responded to the scene around 8:32 a.m. Both women were transported to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for precautionary evaluation. Authorities reported no major injuries from the crash.

Trimble received a citation for Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign, a violation of New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law §1172(a), according to the sheriff’s office.

The incident was investigated by Deputy McCauley.
