Why was FLX Summer Fest canceled at Watkins Glen?

  • Staff Report

Watkins Glen International has canceled its 2025 F.L.X. Summer Fest, originally set for July 18–20, according to organizers. The event, along with associated camping plans, was dropped despite earlier commitments, and ticket holders will be notified about refunds or credits.

Track President Dawn Burlew cited a change in plans but highlighted other local attractions like wineries and breweries with expanded offerings. She assured fans that WGI remains committed to hosting community gatherings and races throughout the season.

The Finger Lakes venue, fresh off hosting the Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen, has a packed summer ahead. Major upcoming events include SCCA’s Super Majors, the Trans Am Series, the Ferrari Challenge, and NASCAR weekend in August.
