A Canandaigua man who was seriously injured in a late May motorcycle crash in Bristol has died, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Keith D. Rosato, 53, passed away on June 17 around 8:30 p.m. at Strong Memorial Hospital. Authorities say Rosato had been hospitalized since May 29, when he was involved in a single-vehicle crash on Vincent Hill Road near State Route 64.
Rosato was operating a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he lost control, exited the roadway, and was thrown from the bike. He sustained injuries to his chest, head, and pelvis, and was airlifted to the hospital by Mercy Flight. Bristol Fire Department and Canandaigua Emergency Squad responded to the scene.
Following an investigation by the Sheriff’s Office Road Patrol and Crash Reconstruction Unit, officials determined that unsafe speed was the cause of the crash. The case is now closed.
