A Penn Yan woman was arrested after turning herself in on a warrant related to a January incident involving a stolen vehicle and residential break-in.
Jade Smith was taken into custody by Penn Yan Police after surrendering at the Yates County Sheriff’s Department. She is charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Police say Smith entered another person’s apartment, took their car keys, and left with the vehicle without permission. She was processed at the Penn Yan Police Department and transported to Yates County Jail pending arraignment in Yates County Criminal Court.
